Fico muito feliz ao dizer que este foi meu primeiro livro lido em inglês. Lido, em inglês adaptado, pela "Hub Editorial", "Orgulho e Preconceito" da autora britânica Jane Austen, toma uma nova forma sem perder seu poder clássico.
A história é envolta da família Bennet e, principalmente, de uma de suas filhas Elizabeth Bennet. A missão da matriarca, Sra. Bennet, é ver todas suas 5 filhas casadas, no começo do romance com grande expectativa entre a mais velha, Jane e Sr. Bingley, este um homem rico e imponente, chega à cidade com seu amigo, o misterioso, orgulhoso e ignorante, Sr. Darcy, de cara ele e Elizabeth tem um desentendimento, os dois passam a nutrir grande raiva um pelo outro. A história começa a se desenrolar quando Sr. Bingley, indo contra todas as expectativas, vai embora da cidadezinha de Meryton, deixando Jane Bennet sem aliança.
A família fica perdida em meio ao que ocorre e Elizabeth não sabe o que fazer para ajudar a mãe e a irmã, desoladas. Ela decide ir viajar com os tios, Sr. e Sra. Gardiner, onde ficariam alojados na casa da extremamente rude Lady Catherine de Bourgh que, por um acaso, é tia do esnobe Sr. Darcy, talvez a viagem da Srta. Elizabeth Bennet não seja como ela esperava...
No geral, achei o livro apenas bom, como li uma versão muito adaptada, não tenho condições de julgar a escrita de Jane Austen, pois este além de ser muito menor que o original, tem as conversas escritas de forma mais simplória e com um desenrolar bem mais rápido, acredito que para facilitar a leitura. Este "Pride and Prejudice", é do stage 3, Intermediate, e foi meu primeiro livro em inglês. O livro vem com um CD com audio-book de certas partes da história, o qual considerei excelente. Comprei este na livraria SBS, por um preço bem acessível, a linguagem é condizente com o nível de inglês que eles propuseram, sem contar que o livro vem com ilustrações e exercícios, além do CD. No mais, recomendo! Acredito até que vou comprar mais destes da HUB editorial pois adorei e pretendo criar um projeto de leitura pessoal para ler mais livros em outros idiomas.

Adapted by "Editorial Hub", "Pride and Prejudice" by the british author Jane Austen, gains a new form without losing the classic power. The story is shrouded in the Bennet family and, especially, in one of their daughters Elizabeth Bennet. The mission of the matriarch, Mrs. Bennet, is to see all 5 daughters married, at the beginning of the novel had a great expectation between the oldest, Jane and Mr. Bingley, who is a rich and imposing man, he arrives in the city with his friend, the mysterious, proud and ignorant, Mr. Darcy, since the beginning, him and Elizabeth has a misunderstanding, both came to hate each other. The story begins to unfold when Mr. Bingley, going against all expectations, leaves the small town of Meryton, leaving Jane Bennet without a ring. The family is disappointed with what happened and Elizabeth does not know what to do to help her mother and sister, desolated. She decides to travel with her uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Gardiner, where they would be housed in the house of the extremely rude Lady Catherine de Bourgh who, by the way, is aunt of the snobby Mr. Darcy, maybe the trip of Miss. Elizabeth Bennet will be not what she expected ... Overall, I found the book just fine, as I read a very adapted version, I can not judge the writing of Jane Austen, this one that I read is much smaller than the original, has the conversations written in a simpler way and with a much faster development, I believe that it was from it to be easier to read. This "Pride and Prejudice" is from stage 3, Intermediate, and was my first book in English. The book comes with an audiobook CD of certain parts of the story, which I thought it was excellent. I bought this in the SBS bookstore, for a very affordable price, the language is consistent with the level of English they proposed, also the book comes with illustrations and exercises. In the end, I recommend! I even believe that I'm going to buy more of these from the HUB editorial because I loved it and I want to create a, personal, reading project with the intention of reading more books in other languages. Recommended! It is worth investing in this because, beyond reading, you are improving your proficiency in other languages.
